Janie Olsen, born and raised in Western Washington, currently has her home & studio in Monroe Washington. Having painted all her life she says “it is a spiritual, driving force within myself”.

Realizing art was going to be one of the main the focuses of her life she graduated from The Burnley School of Professional Art where she studied design and illustration.

Working as a graphic designer during the day for many years, she now paints full time with some freelance illustration projects as well. Her head is filled with ideas and she is constantly sketching, painting and thinking of her next piece - like the Bob Dylan song says-“Someday, everything is gonna be smooth like a rhapsody, when I paint my masterpiece”.
