RARE Large Antique French Mourning Hair Art Domed Glass Wooden Frame Village Saint Cere c1860. It depicts the village of Saint Cere in Dordogne Region in France. It's a family souvenir where everybody in the family gave a piece of their hair to make the decor. There are blue numbers in the decor that indicate where family members used to live. On the back there are the names of everybody from the family but it's a little faded. The name "Lacoste" appears a few times. There are a few dots under the glass inside on the top right (see photos) that can probably be cleaned if you decide to open it from the back. The last photo shows the village of St Cere nowadays. It's in good condition for its age. A true collector's piece!
