Antique French Eglomise Souvenir Jewelry Box / Casket view of Le Puy c1900. The cushion is in bad condition and there is a chip on the painting under the glass on the left (see photos). It's in decent condition for its age nonetheless.

"Eglomise" is the French name for the back-painted glass panels. That technique was used mostly in the second half of the 19th century up to 1910. Some of the souvenir boxes even have mother of pearl panels inlaid so that some parts shimmer with pearlescent light.
