Antique English Sterling Silver Mourning Lock of Hair Brooch / Pin c.1890. It has a domed glass. It says "Silver Pat. Appld For" on the back which means "patent applied for". That notation means that piece is the oldest made in this pattern, normally shortly before the patent was granted.
